1. Choose your URL Prefix
Mercury is accessed via a URL e.g., https://companyname.crm11.dynamics.com. What is your preferred prefix for the Mercury URL where it says "companyname"? We cannot always provide the exact prefix requested but we will attempt to create one as closely matched as possible.
2. Choose the main base currency for the Environment
Please advise the main base currency of your Mercury environment, e.g., USD (US Dollars) or GBP (British Pounds), this is what you might use for board reports. Once set, this base currency can never be changed, however the platform will still handle multiple currencies throughout your business processes.
3. Send us a Global Admin Contact
If you have not already done so, please provide the name, email and phone number of your IT Administrator to your Project Manager and forward this document to them so they can assist us with the remainder of our technical requests. This should be an individual who has Global Administrator access for your organisation’s Microsoft account. If you use a third party for IT Support, please copy your Project Manager in when you log the support ticket to authorise us to communicate with them on your behalf.
4. Create a "Mercury Support" User Account
To provision Mercury we require an administrative account for your Microsoft 365 subscription, please create one and forward the credentials to your Mercury Project Manager directly. We recommend the password is set to never expire but we will change it once we receive the temporary password. The Azure roles required for provisioning are Power Platform Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator. The recommended format is Mercury.Support@yourdomain.com. Once we have this access we can provision Mercury and will setup Service Principal access for our integration services.
5. Create Security Groups
Please create two security groups called "Security - Mercury Production" and “Security – Mercury Sandbox”. Please add the Mercury Support account added above as the owner and a member of both groups. This will be used to secure your new Mercury environment.
6. Create SharePoint Sites
Please create two SharePoint team sites called "Mercury" and “Mercury Sandbox” and make our account above a Site Admin. If you prefer us to do this for you, then please just add the Azure Role SharePoint Administrator to our new admin account above.

7. Create Parsing Email Accounts
Please create a 2x user accounts with an exchange mailbox for CV parsing using Daxtra Capture. The recommended cheapest license is Exchange online and the password should be set to never expire:
- for priority CVs: cv@yourdomain.com and,
- for job board adverts responses: adresponse@yourdomain.com.
8. Accept our Partner Invitation
Accept our partner relationship invitation which you will receive separately once we know which region your Microsoft Account is in. This must be done by a Global Administrator of your account and we use it to provision Microsoft licenses that are included as part of your Mercury license. Even if you have not taken up this option you can still accept the relationship as it does not give us any further administrative access but just recognises us as your partner and allows us to provide advanced Microsoft support for you.
9. Update your Firewall Restrictions
If you have any firewall restrictions in place, please ensure you allow all the URLs and IP addresses in this Microsoft Article to be accessed: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/online-requirements
Once the above is provided, we will be able to provision your Mercury environment in Power Platform. Thank you for your assistance and please let us know if you have any queries.
